Security is one of the most interesting topics that one comes across during preparation for the main exam. The best source for preparing for the mains exam is the newspaper. This topic has convergence with other GS Papers as well. This year even had an essay of 125 marks from this topic (Manage- ment of Indian Border Disputes - a complex task). .Therefore, a holistic prepara- tion of this part of the syllabus is crucial for success in the exam.

The second part includes the basics of cyber secuxity, Also, the issue of money laundetång and the ways for its prevention forms a significant part of this topic. The government has recently introduced a number of steps to prevent money laundering, like amendments to the Prevention of Money-laun- dering Act, 2002 (PMLA) through Finance Act 2018, to widen its scope. Students should be well versed with these issues.
